Volunteer With Us

Would you like to volunteer on our Design Team and help us plan and execute our programs throughout the year? Put your various skills to good use as we prepare our annual programs and events. Have fun and meet some new people who care about water, climate and the environment as much as you do! Simply, drop us a line at volunteer@ecologos.ca. We look forward to connecting and working with you soon.

Our volunteers are vital to the spirit of the Water Docs Film Festival - especially once we are able to get back in the cinema!

Water Docs creates an environment for people to get connected to the impact we have on our planet. We believe that by connecting people to ways of protecting water and our climate in everyday life, our community will thrive. Our volunteers support us through their deeply felt experiences and receive great benefits from working with us!

  • Gain valuable festival experience and education on environmental issues

  • Contribute to our commitment to action for a sustainable future

  • Join a community of documentary lovers, students, environmental activists and community organizers

  • Receive full access to Water Docs screenings and events

  • Be acknowledged and celebrated as a valuable team member

Successful candidates must attend a volunteer training session and commit to volunteering for at least one 3-4 hour shift during the festival to receive a festival pass for access to all the screening sessions. If you would like to attend the Opening Night Screening and Reception as our guest, you must work more than one shift during the festival run.
